The April 2025 rotation is well underway in Pokémon TCG! Now, the Standard meta is open to new decks, each with their own style: the explosive Raging Bolt ex TEF 123, the consistent Dragapult ex PRE 73, and the fan-favorite, always popular Gardevoir ex sv4pt5 29, which can now lean on the recently released Lillie's Clefairy ex JTG 56.
In the middle of all of this is N's Zoroark ex JTG 98, which also came out in the last set. It is very versatile, both as a support Pokémon and as an attacker, and that's why it is so appealing to high-level players.

Its ability, which lets you discard a card in your hand to draw a new one, is a terrific way to filter and sculpt your hand however you like, particularly alongside other Zoroarks. You'll be able to use it to set up devastating combos, in particular against evolution decks (like Drakloak TWM 129).
Its attack is versatile, as it lets you pick a different attack on one of your N's Pokémon to use, but, as a result, it also makes this Pokémon a bit less powerful. Furthermore, this archetype can protect itself from disruption really consistently with Unfair Stamp TWM 165, so it's a great option for this meta.
Main Strategy and Decklist

Main Strategy

As we said before, N's Zoroark ex JTG 98 is what makes this strategy consistent, and it is also its main attacker. Its attack, Night Joker, lets you pick one attack on one of your N's Pokémon and use it as this attack.
Here are a few of N's Pokémon that most stood out in this list:

N's Reshiram JTG 116's two attacks are very relevant. You can use Virtuous Flame to deal damage to Pokémon with a lot of HP if you can't use anything else, and Powerful Rage is great in emergencies. For instance, your N's Zoroark ex JTG 98 can stack up to 27 damage counters, considering it has 280 HP, and, as such, you can use N's Reshiram JTG 116's attack to deal 540 damage with it.
Please note that this means Dragapult ex PRE 73 can't deal with this deck that easily because it can't defeat Zoroark, and on the next turn Zoroark will certainly Knock it Out.

The second star in this deck is N's Darmanitan JTG 27, which is a bit more complex. Because it is a stage 1 Pokémon, you'll need more time to set it up, so you should focus on it early on.
Back Draft can catch many opponents off-guard, particularly if you use it on Pokémon that are weak against Fire Pokémon, like Gholdengo ex sv4 139 and Teal Mask Ogerpon ex PRE 12. As for Flamebody Cannon, it is one of the strongest attacks in this deck because it can hit Benched Pokémon. As such, you'll often use N's Darmanitan JTG 27 to Knock Out evolution Pokémon, like Drakloak TWM 129 and Hoot Hoot.

Besides the cards above, this list plays N's Castle so you can easily move your Pokémon, and N's PP Up JTG 153, which is a way to set up your attackers faster. As this deck needs these cards to attack, you should evolve as many Zoruas as you can as fast as you can.
Decklist
This list also plays 3 Poffin to set up the Zoruas, and 3 Nest Balls and 3 Ultra Balls to set up other Pokémon, either our support Pokémon or the evolutions we need.
In this list, you'll also find multiple card draw Supporters, like Kissera and Professor's Research, for a very simple reason: you can't really rely on items when Budew PRE 4 is the most popular Pokémon in the format.

As support Pokémon, this list plays Budew PRE 4 to disrupt your opponent early on, Cleffa sv3 80 and Fezandipiti ex SFA 38 for consistency, Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex TWM 141 as an alternative finisher, and Munkidori PRE 44 to deal with the most popular matchup right now, Dragapult ex PRE 73.
Please note that this deck is weaker at first, so your opponent will often Knock Out a few of your Pokémon before you can attack. However, you'll be able to take advantage of this in a few other ways, like getting ahead in the Prize card race by using Counter Catcher on Pokémon that are weak against Fire or Darkness. You can also use Reversal Energy to attack without sacrificing too many resources.

Finally, this list uses Prime Catcher PRE 119 as its ACE SPEC so you can come back into the game in tough matchups, or get an aggressive lead in favorable matchups. In any case, you'll have to consider the meta you're playing in thoroughly before you use this ACE SPEC.
Other viable ACE SPECs are: Black Belt's Training JTG 144, Unfair Stamp TWM 165, and Hyper Aroma TWM 152.
Matchups
Dragapult EX - Slightly Favorable
Ad

Dragapult ex PRE 73 is consistent and challenging to beat. Currently, this deck is consistent, but also a bit slow, as it doesn't use Rare Candy and, thus, can only attach energies once per turn.
N's Darmanitan JTG 27 is essential in this matchup. The fact it can attack the enemy bench means you'll easily be able to Knock Out Drakloaks and put a lot of pressure on your opponent. Ideally, if you manage to Knock Out 2 "energized" Drakloak TWM 129 early on, this matchup is quite favorable.
However, they can defend themselves with cards like Luxurious Cape sv4 166, and use Genesect SFA 40 to disrupt the game. They can also use Unfair Stamp, so keep at least 2 Zoroarks on your board to protect your hand.
Gardevoir EX - Favorable

The same strategy we listed above is useful in this matchup. If you Knock Out 2 Ralts sv4pt5 27 early on with Darmanitan, your opponent will have to work really hard to catch up. Gardevoir ex sv4pt5 29's current list needs Supporters to draw cards, and nearly all their Pokémon are weak against Darkness Pokémon.
As such, you won't have much trouble dealing with their Pokémon. You can also use Munkidori PRE 44.

Raging Bolt EX - Slightly Unfavorable

They have nearly infinite ways to use their resources and get ahead. In other words, they can easily Knock Out Pokémon because they're so fast. You'll have to play around this by Knocking Out Pokémon that only give you 1 Prize card, such as Budew, Cleffa, etc. As this deck tends to attack with Pokémon EX, the best plan is to Knock Out 3 of their Pokémon in a row, even if you have to do it in multiple turns.
Iono sv4pt5 80 is essential, particularly when your opponent only needs to draw 3 Prize cards to win. Please note that N's Darmanitan JTG 27, with Defiance Band, can Knock Out Teal Mask Ogerpon ex PRE 12 and also deal 90 damage to an attacking Raging Bolt. You can also use its first attack to Knock Out a Pokémon.
Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex TWM 141 also deals exactly the amount of damage you need to Knock Out a Raging Bolt ex TEF 123 without a Bravery Charm!
Joltik Box - Very Unfavorable

Joltik's very fast on turn 1 and gets 1 extra Prize card whenever Iron Hands ex PRE 31 Knocks Out something, so it's so aggressive it is a problem. The best strategy is to try and stop your opponent from playing multiple Boss's Orders BRS 132 in a row, just enough to Knock Out a few Pokémon with N's Zoroark ex JTG 98. However, if you can't Knock Out their attackers straight away, you'll struggle.

You can add a Hoopa ex sv4 98 to this list to Knock Out more Pokémon.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Its "discard-and-draw" mechanic is very fun.
- It can attack in multiple ways.
- It rewards great players.
- It is well-positioned against Gardevoir EX and Dragapult EX.
Cons
Ad
- It is vulnerable in the first few turns.
- It is very matchup-dependent.
- Its attacks aren't as powerful compared to the rest of the meta decks.
- It is not the best choice for beginners.
- It struggles against Raging Bolt EX and Joltik Box.
Final Words

You might take a while to learn how to play N's Zoroark ex JTG 98, but it can perform really well both in smaller competitive leagues and bigger events, like Regional tournaments.

It is still quite new and, the more people test it, the more refined and efficient it will get. It is definitely a great option if you enjoy drawing lots of cards throughout the game, or if you prefer playing something different, with a bit more strategy behind it.
