As an avid Magic: The Gathering player myself, I can empathize with the concern over the rising cost of cards. While it's true that some high-value cards can provide a competitive edge in certain formats, I don't believe that Magic: The Gathering is inherently pay-to-win. The game's diversity of formats and play styles allows for various budget-friendly options that can still be competitive. Building skill and strategy are key components of success in Magic, and a player with a deep understanding of the game mechanics can often outperform someone with a more expensive deck. Ultimately, the game's true value lies in the enjoyment and camaraderie it brings, transcending the issue of cost.
